Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica Have Now Been Officially Announced

The Persona 3 Remake titled “Persona 3 Reload” and the spin-off game “Persona 5 Tactica” have now been officially announced at the Xbox June 2023 Showcase.

Both games were previously leaked earlier this week on the Atlus Instagram page but they have now been officially revealed.

Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload is a remake of the original PS2 JRPG Persona 3. It is currently unknown if the game will include the content from later re-releases of Persona 3 like The Answer from Persona 3 FES or the Female Protagonist Route in Persona 3 Portable.

Atlus has revealed the following new features for the game:

• Enhanced graphics
  In addition to support for up to 4k/60fps, character portraits, 3D models, environments, UI, and other
  visuals have been greatly refined as well.
• Easier to Play
  A variety of improvements have been made to the game, including updates to the controls and
  interface, allowing for a much more user-friendly experience.
• Revamped Animations and New Side Stories
  With tons of new content, including more dialogue between characters, additional voiced scenes, and
  extra side stories, this remake offers a fresh, new adventure for fans of the original game and new
  players alike! All animated cutscenes in the game have also been completely redone, so enjoy reliving
  your favorite moments!

The game is scheduled to launch in 2024. While it is only confirmed to be coming to Xbox and PC, this is because it was announced at the Xbox Showcase. It is likely also coming to PlayStation and a Spanish retailer has also stated that it will be coming to the Switch however this has yet to be fully confirmed.

Update – 14/06/23: Persona 3 Reload has now been confirmed to be coming to PS4, PS5, and Steam. It seems that it will not be coming to Switch, however. 

Persona 5 Tactica

Persona 5 Tactica is a spin-off of Persona 5 that takes the Phantom Thieves into a strategy game complete with turn-based cover mechanics similar to XCOM. The game will feature a new heroine alongside the returning Persona 5 cast.

The game will be launching on the 17th of November 2023 for Xbox and PC. As with Persona 3 Reload, it is likely that it will also be confirmed for PlayStation consoles as well.

Update – 14/06/23: Persona 5 Tactica has now been confirmed to be coming to PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
