Update 14/06/22: Well it seems that the three Persona games are coming to PS5 and Steam as well according to a recent press release. That just leaves the PS4 and especially The Switch left out in the fog, but perhaps there’s still the possibility that ports to these systems will be announced later down the line.
Original Article:
It was announced that Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal will be coming to Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Persona 5 Royal will be coming out on the 21st of October 2022. The other two will be coming out at a later date.
Here is the trailer for the three-hit RPGs making their Xbox debut.
Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal were originally released for the PSP, PS Vita, and PS4 respectively. The mainline Persona series has always stuck close to its Playstation roots, making its appearance on Xbox Game Pass a legitimate surprise.
Personas 3-5 games are classic JRPGs that mix traditional dungeon crawling with dating sim elements, focusing on the struggles of young teenagers living in modern-day Japan.
Of course, many fans are probably wondering if these ports will be coming to Playstation consoles, as well as the Nintendo Switch.
While there’s no confirmation, I highly doubt that these ports are going to be exclusive to Xbox. With the vast popularity of Persona and other JRPGs on Japanese consoles, chances are they’ll be announced for at least the PS4 and PS5 at some point in the near future.
There have already been leaks from reliable sources saying that P3 Portable and P4 would be coming to multiple platforms.
