Atlus has launched a special teaser website for the Persona 25th anniversary Project, celebrating almost 3 decades of the Shin Megami Tensei spin-off.
“Numerous preparations are being made, such as commemorative merchandise, various events, collaborations, and of course, game information. Both Atlus Japan and Atlus West say to please look forward to it”, said Atlus in a blog post about the matter.
Currently, not much is known about their plans for the Persona 25th Anniversary Project. However, they’ve said fans can look forward to news about the project in September, which is when the Persona series officially turns 25 years old.
While five of the seven teased announcements will be revealed in September, Atlus says they’re holding out on the remaining ones until Autumn 2022. They haven’t mentioned what’s so special about these ones that they would warrant a whole year’s wait, but that’s definitely not going to stop anyone from speculating on the announcement of Persona 6.
Persona 25th Anniversary Merchandise
In addition, they’ve also shown off the special merchandise planned for the event. All of the merchandise is already available for pre-order, and fans can do so via the Atlus D Shop and Animate.
These include acrylic stands of all the Persona protagonists, including the alternate protagonists for Persona 2 and Persona 3. These can be bought for 1650 Yen each (RM62.62) .
The characters are also getting plush keychains, showing them in a more Chibi-style design. These will be sold at 1650 Yen (RM62.62) each.
Finally, Atlus is also selling acrylic stands, featuring the posters for each Persona title. This also includes their re-releases, such as Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal. You can buy these as a box for 12100 Yen (RM459.52) . Note that they’re called Trading Stands on the website, so the chances of these being a blind box set are pretty high.
