KLab will be working together with Palworld Developers Pocket Pair to develop a hybrid-casual game for mobile devices.
According to an official press release on the KLab website, the company will join Pocket Pair to jointly develop and operate a hybrid-casual game.
The press release describes hybrid-casual games as “a game model that combines the simplicity of casual games with the mechanics of online games that can be played for longer periods of time to generate revenue from both in-game purchases and advertisements.”
KLab did not include any details about the game, in regards to its genre or release date, so fans who are interested in this title will have to wait for more information to drop.
However, the press release mentions that the team will use their past experiences with mobile games that are “geared towards the global market”, which could be an indication that this upcoming title will have a global release.
The joint development between the two companies had actually begun back in 2020, and after numerous prototypes and key performance indicator tests, the project is now ready for commercialization.
KLab is known for their various mobile titles such as Bleach: Brave Souls, Bleach Soul Rising, and Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team; while Pocket Pair is most known for their recent early access title, Palworld, which garnered a lot of traction since its launch.
