Bandai Namco is preparing to launch Shadow Labyrinth, a 2D action platformer that reimagines the classic PAC-MAN concept, scheduled for release on July 18. The game will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam priced at $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99.
Players will step into the role of Swordsman No. 8, awakened by a mysterious floating yellow orb named PUCK on an alien planet filled with relics from past wars. The game promises a unique gameplay experience that transforms the traditional maze-based gameplay into a dynamic action platformer.
Two editions will be available at launch. The standard edition offers the core game experience, while the Deluxe Edition, priced at $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99, includes additional digital content such as an art book and game soundtrack. Pre-order customers will receive a nostalgic bonus: the “Original Arcade SFX” downloadable content, which replaces in-game sounds with classic PAC-MAN arcade audio during MINI-PUCK gameplay.

The game’s key features include exploring a mysterious world filled with secrets, mastering fluid combat mechanics, and uncovering the narrative behind the protagonist’s mysterious connection to PUCK. Players will evolve from prey to predator, discovering new abilities and battling dangerous creatures across an alien landscape. Shadow Labyrinth launches July 18 across all mentioned platforms, offering a fresh take on a beloved arcade classic.
