Overwatch Pachimarchi Challenge Announced

Overwatch has announced an all-new seasonal event, celebrating their bizarre mascot with the Pachimarchi Challenge.

The event will feature new skins for Roadhog, as well as emotes and sprays. PachiMarchi will run from today until March 22nd, so fans can make sure to log in to Overwatch if they want some sweet new loot for their characters.

Unlike previous events, this one has no new gametypes, only giving you rewards for playing the game regularly. Compared to other events like their Lunar New Year ones, this might be a little underwhelming, but it’s definitely fun to see Overwatch go the silly route again.

Playing matches during the Pachimarchi challenge will earn players the following prizes:

• Win 3 Games | Player Icon
• Win 6 Games | Junkrat Emote
• Win 9 Games | Epic Skin: Roadhog Pachimari

Pachimari is the cute mascot area that you can see in the arcades of Overwatch’s Hanamura map. It bears quite a resemblance to the Taiko no Tatsujin mascot, having the same cute expressions on its face. Arguably the sprays are the big prize for this event, since you can see various Overwatch characters interacting with the Pachimari-styled Zenyatta.

Admittedly, the lack of content is likely due to Blizzard’s continued work on Overwatch 2, which has yet to have a release date.
