Override 2 is getting some anime-themed support with the addition of characters from the Netflix Ultraman series. These characters will be available with the Ultraman Edition of Override 2.
The collaboration adds four new characters, all from the recent Netflix Series. These are Ultraman, Ultraman Ver 7, Bemular and Black King. Ironically, of all the Ultraman series, this is the only one where Ultraman isn’t actually giant.
While the collaboration was announced, they didn’t actually show any gameplay of the new characters. Aside from the promotional art, we know very little about how this collaboration will actually play out.
While most of these characters also come from the manga, Black King’s inclusion is proof that this is specifically a collaboration with the Netflix series. This is because Black King was an original addition by the Netflix series, and not from the manga.
These characters will be part of an Ultraman season pass, meaning it’s not known how many of them will actually be available at launch. The Ultraman edition will also come with Ultraman cosmetics.
Override 2 will be available on current and next-gen consoles, releasing holiday season 2020.
