Cult sitcom anime Osomatsu San is getting a third season, according to Crunchyroll. The streaming service says it will stream the third season in fall of 2020.
Given the episode-to-episode hijinks of the first and second season, it’s really anyone’s guess what it’s going to even be about.
Osomatsu San is the Seinen sequel to Showa-era cartoon Osomatsu Kun. While Kun followed the adventures of 6 young boys, San has them grow up to be total losers as adults.
The second season, on the other hand, follows the boys after the success of the first season. However, this lasts for about an episode before the status quo is reset.
Despite its silly premise, the anime has some serious heavyweights working on it, such as Daisuke Ono (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure).
The show will start airing on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and TV Aichi on October 12.
