Oshi No Ko Youtube Channel Uploads Live Action Pieyon Workout Video

The official Oshi No Ko Youtube Channel has uploaded a live-action video featuring the character Pieyon, an in-universe youtuber who makes workout videos while wearing a bird mask.

The title of the live-action Oshi No Ko video roughly translated as “[My guess] ‘Pieyon Boot Dance’ Pieyon and Yurie Igoma did a boot dance”. You can watch the video below:

As the title suggests it sees Pieyon doing a “boot” workout dance alongside voice actress Yurie Igoma who voices Ruby Hoshino in the Oshi No Ko anime.

About three-quarters of the way through the video, Pieyon takes off his bird mask to reveal he is being played by a real-life bodybuilder Naotaka Yokokawa who himself has a Youtube account where he uploads videos on exercise and gym workouts. He’s also a big fan of Baki The Grappler. 

While it may seem heretical for Pieyon to ever take his mask off, keep in mind, Oshi No Ko itself states the importance of collaborations and guest starring on other Youtube channels to help build your media clout. You could say Oshi No Ko is doing just that with Yokokawa-san.

The actual voice of Pieyon is still performed by his anime voice actor Taishi Murata who also sings his theme song “Pieyon Boot Dance”.

The anime adaptation of Oshi No Ko is currently airing this anime season.
