Exciting news for fans of Oshi no Ko! Encore Films Malaysia has officially announced that the highly anticipated live-action film, Oshi no Ko – The Final Act, will be arriving in Malaysian cinemas soon.

The film serves as a sequel to the live-action drama adaptation of Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari’s acclaimed manga series, further delving into the series’ gripping revenge themes and showbiz intrigue. While an exact release date for Malaysia is yet to be confirmed, this marks a major milestone for local fans eager to see the story brought to life on the big screen.

About Oshi no Ko – The Final Act

The sequel film picks up where the Amazon Prime Video live-action drama series leaves off. Directed by the celebrated filmmaker Smith, known for projects like Inside Mari and I Want to Hold Aono-kun So Badly I Could Die, the production brings together an impressive team of talent.

Ayako Kitagawa (Laid-Back Camp, Tokyo Love Story) is handling the scriptwriting, while the band fox capture plan, renowned for their work on Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, is behind the soundtrack.

The drama series adaptation is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video globally on November 28, 2024, with eight episodes leading into the theatrical release of Oshi no Ko – The Final Act in Japan on December 20, 2024. Malaysian theater release dates have yet to be announced.
