Watch the trailer to know what is coming ahead:
Operation Burnt Horizon is the upcoming new season of Rainbow Six Siege. Like every other previous seasons except Operation Health, Operation Burnt Horizon will come with two new operators. These two new Australian operators are Gridlock, the attacker and Mozzie, the defender. Outback, a new map based in Australia will also be coming.
A protection specialist with the Australian SASR (Special Air Service Regiment) Mobility Platoon, Gridlock is a 1 speed 3 armor attacking operator. She will be bringing her spiky Trax Stingers to the scene to stop defenders in their paths. After deploying them on the ground, the Trax Stingers can spread over a large area. Gridlock has three sets of these Trax Stingers that can annoy the hell out of defending roamers.
Of course, these Trax Stingers will not affect fellow attackers. However, when defenders step on them, they will slow down and take minor damage. Worry not though as they are easy to destroy through bullets, explosives and melee attacks. Be sure not to get your attention taken away by the Trax Stingers when a defender is nearby as destroying them will produce noises.
Also from the Australian SASR Mobility Platoon, Mozzie is an interesting one. The defender will most probably change the meta of the entire game, with his Pest Launcher, that is. Mozzie is a 2 speed 2 armor defending operator armed with his unique Pest Launchers.
He will be bringing three of these drone-hacking mini droids to the scene. Once hacked, Mozzie can use an attacker’s drone to scout out their previous owners for intel. Yes, defenders can now get access through attackers’ drones, thanks to Mozzie.
Of course, it is easy to hack an idle drone just by shooting the Pest Launcher on or around it. A moving drone is a different story as you may find it difficult to fire your Pest Launcher on it. What to do then? Well, you can place your Pest Launchers as traps.
Shoot to stick them on walls, floors to catch attackers’ drones off-guard. They will pounce on any drone that runs into their range. However, attackers will be notified when a lurking Pest Launcher is nearby. So attackers, change your drone’s route or take the risk anyways? It is all up to you.
Year 4 Season 1 will also come with numerous changes such as Ash losing her ACOG scope on her popular R4-C assault rifle. There will also be a newcomer playlist for beginners under level 50 to learn the basics. To play ranked, players now have to be at least level 30. A Hibana elite set is also coming.

As always, Season Pass owners will have access to the new operators a week earlier. After that, all players can purchase the new operators using Renown or R6 credits. The Year 4 Pass is now available at RM105.00 on Steam. Purchase it before 4th March to receive the Volcano Signature weapon skin.
Also, we got to play Operation Burnt Horizon on the test server to test out the new operators and the new Outback map. We absolutely love it and cannot wait for the new season to kick off. It promises to be an exciting new season ahead.
