Today’s Perfect World Game Strategy Press Conference showed off our first look at One Punch Man World, the new mobile game based on the webcomic-turned-anime-sensation.
Rather than just announcing the new title, the expo showed off the trailer for the game, which seems to eschew its predecessors character-collector approach in favor of a more action-based one.
One Punch Man World is a mobile title, though rather than use RPG mechanics the trailer makes it look like it’s going to be focused more on one-on-one combat. The trailer has shown off the titular One Punch Man, Saitama, as well as his apprentice Genos doing combos on enemies.
The music and visuals look amazing, with the with characters pulling off amazing rush punches and looking straight out of the console fighter of the series, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows.
One Punch Man is a popular franchise, going from webcomic to anime to pop culture sensation. As previously mentioned the game received a console fighting game titled A Hero Nobody Knows, wherein Saitama was a playable mechanic players could use to steal victory thanks to his titular one punch. The series also received a mobile game, One Punch Man: The Strongest, which was more of a hero collector for the series.
