Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that the multiplayer servers for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows will be sunset on 22 February 2022. Via the US Twitter, the announcement reads as follows:
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows multiplayer servers will sunset on February 28, 2022.
All offline game modes, along with online 1vs1 game matches, will still be available for play. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
The game launched 27 February 2020, and going by the Steam page, it has Mixed reviews. We also reviewed the game, feeling much the same way. You could play as your own avatar in the main story, retreading the various battles of the cast from the first anime, except with you as a part of it. A paid Character Pass DLC was released for the game, with Garou, Watchdog Man, Lightning Max and Suiryu added to the line-up (also available individually).
In any case, if you were hoping for a thriving online community for the game, that doesn’t look possible anymore. The game overview on the Steam page notes as follows:
