Getting closer to the release schedule, the upcoming One Piece Film: Red shared its latest teaser which shows even more details about the film including the revelation of the new character Uta as the daughter of fan-favorite character Shanks.

The description of the teaser trailer gives a more in-depth synopsis of the plot:
“Uta has the most beloved singer in the world.
Her singing voice, which was transmitted while hiding her identity, was described as being “Otherworldly”.
A live concert will be held in which she appears in front of the public for the first time.
Colorful pirates, the navy on the lookout, and an audience excited to see her.
They all came to just enjoy her singing voice even without knowing anything about it.
Straw Hat Pirates led by Luffy,
While all kinds of Uta fans fill the venue,
The long-awaited singing voice of the whole world was about to reverberate.”
Although only summarized in a half-minute trailer, fans have spotted several plot elements that may unfold in One Piece Film: Red, including Uta’s identity as Shanks’ daughter. Various rumors say that the film will be canon or will connect to the original story of the manga. This means that fans will get a more detailed picture of the still mysterious Shanks and his backstory.
To add to this speculation, the original mangaka of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda will be acting as the producer of the movie alongside, Goro Taniguchi, the director of the Code Geass series.

According to the information in the teaser, One Piece Film: Red will premiere on August 6, 2022, in Japan. Although the screening in Malaysia has not yet been announced, we are quite sure that the film will be shown in the region sometime after its release in Japan like with most anime movies.
