One Piece Fighting Path, an action game based on the One Piece manga and anime is available now for download.
Though the game was released for the Chinese market, Android users can download it via TapTap, a third party app site. The game is officially available for iOS as well, though you’ll need to be connected to the Chinese App Store if you want to download a copy for your device.
The game lets you explore islands straight out of the One Piece anime, playing as various characters such as the iconic Monkey D. Luffy, captain of the Strawhat Pirates. You’ll also be able to play as other characters such as Godenel and Ace, all of which have their own movesets.
Rather than be a side-story off of the plot of the original, the game’s official description says it’s based off of the story of the anime. You’ll also need to unlock new characters by recruiting them, and can fight off giant sea beasts with your ship.
Naturally, due to the game’s China-exclusive status it has no English release. There’s also been no word on if the game would be coming to other markets at a later date, similar to Tensura: King of Monsters or Arknights.
China-exclusive games based on anime aren’t completely alien. Just a few weeks ago we had the announcement of One Punch Man World, another action game for mobile released for the China market.
