Odin: Valhalla Rising will launch in 2021

We’ve previously reported on the existence of Odin: Valhalla Rising, a new MMORPG project out of Lionheart Studio and KAKAO Games. A new trailer and the opening movie were shown off at G-STAR 2020, which you can watch below.

If you were looking for another take on the whole Norse mythology, this could be something you can watch out for. Odin: Valhalla Rising will be available for both mobile and PC sometime 2021 as a cross-platform title, with a developer talk video you can also watch below. There are some glimpses of early gameplay which naturally appears rough at present, so we’ll have to stay tuned to see where it goes closer to release. We can safely assume it will be an open world title, and it looks fairly easy to traverse due to the presence of mounts: both land and flying, going by the footage. We’ll have to see if the whole free climbing and voyaging will be included as well. The game shaping up to be a very ambitious project for Lionheart Studio, apparently wanting to create a seamless open world. Considering it will also be heading to mobile, it sounds an interesting technical challenge to get it to work on phones, among other things.
