Tencent had recently released another version of PUBG Mobile called, PUBG Mobile Lite. Just as the name says, this is a lite version which will cater to lower end phones which cannot fully support the main PUBG Mobile game. However, being a lite version, there are some limitations which they need to tone down to support lower end devices.
For instance, to keep the game running smoothly on your phone, instead of a 100 player battle royale, you only get to play in a 40 player battle royale. They have even shrunk the map size from 8×8 km to a smaller 2×2 km map. Though, it still runs beautifully with HD graphics and provides realistic gun models.
The game is pretty much still the same, except for the shrinking of number of players and map size. This allows your device to consume less RAM compared to the main PUBG Mobile which runs and consumes more. So if you’ve been struggling to cope with the lag or playing on low graphics mode, you could try this PUBG Mobile Lite to see if it helps improve your FPS or lag issues.
Sadly, PUBG Mobile Lite is only available for Android devices now. We’re not sure if there would be a release for iOS devices. But looking at the consistency of iOS devices compared to the various models of Android devices, they might not release one for iOS since they are working pretty fine for them.
