Northwind is an upcoming high fantasy monster-hunting deckbuilder roguelite developed by Thailand-based studio Barking Kitten Interactive and a playable demo has just been launched.
According to the announcement on Steam, the playable demo for Northwind will be available until April 1st, 2024.
Based on the Steam description, the game will have you play as a mercenary as you discover and hunt down new monsters to gather resources.
The game will have a deckbuilder style gameplay where you play cards strategically to build up attack power and damage enemies.
As you progress, you will explore new strategies through card smelting from a variety of combinations in Northwind Town.
There are also card enhancements, where players can alter or add new abilities to their current cards.
You can also duplicate cards through forging, strengthening your combo, or using them as smelting materials for newer cards.
Furthermore, as your hazard level increases, new formidable foes will spawn and so will new town upgrades, opening up new services and new card blueprints to bolster your deck.
Northwind is currently still in development, so you may report any bugs you encounter or fill up the feedback survey after playing the demo, allowing developers to further improve their games.
As mentioned, a playable demo for Northwind is now available on Steam until April 1st, 2024.
