Musical Platformer No Straight Roads was released by Malaysian developer Metronomik last year, quickly becoming a cult classic. But there’s more to come as it has been announced that there will be a No Straight Roads Encore Edition and a new project from Metronomik.
In the No Straight Roads Anniversary Stream, occurring exactly one year after the game’s release, director Wan Hammer and creative director Daim Dziauddin announced a new version of the game will be coming to Steam (it was previously an Epic Store PC exclusive).
No Straight Roads Encore Edition will include a new opening and more added content. There weren’t a lot of details revealed about the rerelease but it was announced that more information will be revealed later on in a live stream planned for September.
Metronomik is also going to add fan art to the game which they have discussed in more detail within the following tweet.
We’ll be sharing more info on the Encore Edition soon. In the meantime, we wanted to celebrate our rockstar community by giving you the chance to have your own original artwork appear IN-GAME! Use the template as a guide to get started! pic.twitter.com/6DgKQowxs8

When the original No Straight Roads came out on August 25th, 2020, it soon gained a huge international cult following and fan response, particularly among fan artists with Wan Hazmer saying that they would get around 100 pieces of fan art a day upon the game’s release.
The team also confirmed that they are working on a new project. This will not be a sequel to No Straight Roads but rather a new fantasy title that will be based on Southeast Asian culture.
No Straight Roads is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
We at GamerBraves greatly enjoyed No Straight Roads, and we’re are very proud of what a local team like Metronomik was able to accomplish. We are very excited to see what they will create in the future.
