Unfortunately, in another series of games getting delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, NO STRAIGHT ROADS has also been delayed to “late Summer”. Metronomik’s Wan Hazmer made the announcement through a Facebook video post.
Hi everyone, greetings from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am Wan Hazmer, and I am the game director of NO STRAIGHT ROADS. We have some very important news to share with you today. Like you, we were very excited over the June 30th release of NO STRAIGHT ROADS, especially now when we were able to tell everyone that we’re releasing the game on major platforms.
However, based on recent information, due to the complications that arose from the global pandemic that we’re facing today, we’ve had to make the heartbreaking decision to delay the release of the game until later this summer. We know that it’s gonna disappoint a lot of you who can’t wait to play the game next month. However, we’ll try our best to make the delay short, and we’ll try our best to get the game in your hands as soon as possible.
As of right now, Malaysia’s MCO is set to end 9 June, which may or may not see an extension. Sure, it’s disappointing to see NO STRAIGHT ROADS get delayed as well, but that’s how the current climate is. Hopefully we won’t have long to wait. Meanwhile, you can check out the physical edition you can purchase for major platforms, with more time to decide if you’re going to get it.
