Singapore’s Jewel Changi Airport is once again playing host to the only Nintendo pop-up store outside of Japan, this time accompanied by Southeast Asia’s first Mario Kart-themed installations. The exciting event, which launched on April 25, 2025, will run until July 24.

The highly anticipated pop-up store returns following its successful debut in 2023, now featuring over 500 items including more than 150 new and exclusive merchandise previously unavailable. Nintendo fans can purchase items from beloved franchises such as Super Mario, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon, and Pikmin. A limited-edition Nintendo-themed T-shirt commemorating the store’s opening is also available exclusively at this location.
Complementing the retail experience, the “Mario Kart Jewel Circuit Challenge” transforms the airport into a real-life Rainbow Road. Visitors can explore various installations featuring Mario, Luigi, and other characters from the racing series set against the backdrop of Jewel’s Forest Valley and Rain Vortex. The centerpiece installation measures an impressive 5 by 4 meters at the Forest Valley entrance, featuring racing lights and the iconic Mario Kart soundtrack to immerse visitors in the gaming experience.

A special stamp rally encourages visitors to find six unique collection points throughout the airport (from Levels 1 to 5) to receive an exclusive Mario Kart sticker pack. These come in a blind box format, with each pack containing one random character and three power-up items from a collection featuring four different characters and five power-ups.
For shoppers, a minimum spend of S$80 in a single receipt at participating stores earns a token for the sure-win Gachapon machines, with Mastercard users receiving a bonus token. Between May 1 to 12, visitors can also participate in a Nintendo Photo Challenge to earn a free Gachapon token by sharing photos of the installations on social media.

Faith Tan, Head of Leasing at Jewel Changi Airport Development, expressed confidence that the Nintendo collaboration will attract many visitors and transform Jewel into a premier destination for families and travelers, especially during the upcoming June school holiday period.
