Nintendo has just announced that they will be establishing a joint venture company with DeNA, the company who had a hand with co-developing multiple mobile Nintendo titles such as, Pokemon Masters EX, Super Mario Run, Mario Kart Tour, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and much more.
As part of a Nintendo’s Financial Earnings report, the objective of this joint venture between Nintendo and DeNA is to strengthen digitalisation of Nintendo’s businesses by having this new company – Nintendo Systems be a part of research and development, in addition to create value-added services.
The Earnings report had also mentioned that the amount of capital for this joint venture will be greater than 10% of that of the company, making Nintendo Systems a Specified Subsidiary of Nintendo.
Nintendo mentions that they strive to provide enhanced experience and service outside of its dedicated gaming system. Wanting to to provide this experience in a holistic manner, the company is working to maintain and expand its relationship with consumers primarily through Nintendo Account as the integrated hardware-software model is at the core of Nintendo’s business.
The Capital for this Joint Venture Company is said to be at 5 billion yen (MYR 161,118,136). The date of foundation for Nintendo Systems is scheduled to be on 3rd April, 2023 and will be located in Tokyo.
