NIKKE: The Goddess of Victory has appeared to lay low for quite a while now, its original supposed release in 2020 having long past. However, Shift Up is looking to showcase NIKKE at the upcoming G-STAR 2021 event, which will run from 17 to 21 November 2021.
NIKKE also appears to be playable at G-STAR 2021, an event which will be having both offline and online sessions. Additionally, there will be an area dedicated to Project: EVE, which was showcased earlier this year.
Project Eve is an action-adventure game that takes place in the not-too-distant future on the ruined Earth against unknown enemies. Accompany the powerful heroine Eve, join forces with comrades along the way, and take up the challenge against the tough adventure.
We’ll have to see if the game does get some more concrete news at G-STAR 2021, like a release date for Korea or even worldwide. The original description about NIKKE on TapTap reads as follows:
Project: NIKKE is a mobile third-person-shooter created in Unity and using Live2D 3.3 tech, focusing on simple controls (shooting is done automatically) and beautiful visuals.
It features a vertical view that allows you to play by holding your cellphone upright and charming art by another of Destiny Child’s illustrators, Kim Hyung-seop.
The player can take cover from enemy fire, and will automatically attack when aiming in order to create a simpler control scheme on mobile platforms. In addition to that, various characters will have different skills.
The story features a distant future in which humanity has been driven underground by metallic aliens. The development of battle androids marks the beginning of humanity’s comeback.
