Originally set for 11 June, Cyberpunk 2077‘s Night City Wire has been delayed to 25 June. The announcement follows other similar delays in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, which reads as follows:
We decided to move Night City Wire to Jun 25th. We still look forward to sharing new information about CP’77, but more important discussions are happening right now and we want them to be heard. We wholeheartedly stand against racism, intolerance and violence. Black Lives Matter.

Sony had also delayed their Playstation 5 stream, meant for 5 June, in support of the movement. Other companies have also shown their support, like Xbox showing their support for Sony.
Night City Wire, by extension, Cyberpunk 2077, would have showed off more of the upcoming RPG, as part of the Summer Games Fest schedule. We’ll see what other companies may decide to delay their events due to either the Black Lives Matter movement, the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, or both.
