Square Enix has just revealed several new concept arts and screenshots for its upcoming NieR spinoff title in the form of NieR Re[in]carnation for the Android and iOS platforms.
There is not much to extrapolate from these really nice looking images, other than the fact that much attention has been put into making this one of the more aesthetically-pleasing releases for the small screen. Seeing as how we have not been given a release date yet, it is safe to assume that there will a long ways to go before we even get an idea of what to expect in terms of gameplay.
As previously reported, this free-to-play title is being produced by Square Enix itself, with Applibot serving as its developer and CyDesignation being in charge of character designs. If this isn’t your cup of tea, know that NieR Replicant is getting a remastered edition for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC as well. As for a new installment in the franchise, we will have to see the reception towards these two titles, although it is safe to assume that given the success of NieR: Automata, we are going to see a new and proper release at some point in time.
