Pre-registrations remain open for the game, currently slated for a 18 February release alongside a Nier Automata collaboration. There’s been more milestone rewards added to the list, which originally consisted of:
- 100,000: 100 Jewels
- 200,000: 400 Jewels
- 300,000: 600 Jewels
- 400,000: 1,800 Jewels
- 500,000: 3,000 Jewels
- 1,000,000: 3,000 Jewels, 1 Gold Mama Statue
The portal indicates there’s been at least 700,000 pre-registrations thus far, with new milestones at 600,000, 700,000 and 800,000 and an update to the grand 1 million milestone, giving out more Jewels and other additional materials. In the lead up to the game’s launch, a countdown follow and retweet campaign has begun on the Japanese side, giving away some canvas art illustrations.
For the uninitiated regarding the gameplay, from the closed beta, there were two parts to the game: world exploration and battle system. The White Girl will run around in a 3D rendered world to designated spots on the mini map, occasionally having character banter along the way. To progress further in the beta main story, you will need to have a completed Weapon Story. In Weapon Stories, there will be both cinematics and battle sequences, the latter of which can be done both manually or automated. Battle parties will comprise of three characters, capable of attacking, using a unique skill or their equipped weapon’s skill.
The North American / Europe release remains unknown for now.
