Next generation viewing immersion with Sony BRAVIA XR 2022

Sony has announced the new BRAVIA XR television series, which includes the X95K 4K Mini LED, MASTER Series A80K 4K OLED and X90K 4K LED models.

Powered by Cognitive Processor XR, the unique XR Backlight Master Drive in the X95K series allows for unprecedented brightness and dynamic range of colours and highlights. The OLED models have enhanced Acoustic Surface Audio+ and Acoustic Multi-Audio for LED to match the position of sound with the image for a truly immersive experience.

Additionally, the line-up has new features to facilitate at-home entertainment, working with Netflix for Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode that adjusts image processing based on ambient light. Sony’s new BRAVIA CORE Calibrated Mode performs similarly, so that the image quality on screen matches with a creator’s original vision. As Perfect for Playstation 5 television models, the line-up has exclusive PS5 features in Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode.

BRAVIA CAM is also being introduced, which recognizes users’ seating positions to optimize accordingly, with added features in gesture controls, video chat and many more. It can recognize when users are no longer in front of the TV so that it can dim and conserve energy. The latter feature is part of Sony’s commitment to sustainability, wherein the 2022 TV models utilize high recycled plastic content with Sony-developed SORPLAS, reducing overall virgin plastic use by up to 60%.
