Nexon had a lot to show at the Nexon Special Day Vol. 2 yesterday. The Korean game publisher revealed a bunch of new games and latest updates for previously announced ones at the event in Seoul, South Korea.
There are a lot of new games and updates that were revealed so we’ll be briefly listing them below.
MapleStory Odyssey
A new mobile game based on the ever-popular MapleStory IP. Nexon didn’t reveal too much about this new game yet but from the screenshots provided, you can see that much of the series’ style and aesthetics will remain. Nexon also confirmed that NPCs and monsters from MapleStory will be in the game.
MapleStory Odyssey will use a real-time combat system and will be going on Closed Beta in Summer 2019.
ArkResona
ArkResona is a brand new puzzle game that was developed in Japan. Nexon mentioned that the game’s pre-registration has surpassed 70,000 users in Japan so far. However, the game will only be playable in Japan for now. You can visit the game’s website for details and pre-registration.
Revisions: Next Stage
Another Japan-only title, for now, Revisions: Next Stage is a game based on the anime called “Revisions”. It tells of a tale of high-school students battling an alien threat using mecha. According to Nexon, the game will be released within 2019.
CounterSide
It’s been a while since we had an update on CounterSide. Nexon still hasn’t shown off any in-game screenshots or footage yet. However, the publisher has announced that there will be Closed Beta testing in Quarter 3 of 2019. Hopefully, this means that the game is close to completion.
TalesWeaver M
Next on the list is the mobile port of the TalesWeaver MMORPG, which is based on the Korean novel “Children of the Rune”. TalesWeaver M will also be getting a Closed Beta session soon.
The Kingdom of the Winds: Yeon
Another game that will be going into Closed Beta soon (expected August 2019) is The Kingdom of the Winds: Yeon. This one is also a mobile port of an old PC MMORPG that was first launched way back in 1996. Nexon announced that the mobile version will feature improved visuals and brand-new content not seen in the original game.
KurtzPel
And last but not least is Kurtzpel, an action RPG developed by KOG Games for the PC. Nexon announced that this game will be released within the first half of 2020. Kurtzpel is also slated for a global release and has an official webpage in English.
