Newly established VTube agency Kikuru is looking for new VTubers

Exys Inc., a production studio in Tokyo, has established a VTuber agency named “Kikuru” and is looking for new talent. The agency is hosting an audition that is opened to people living in Japan to find voice actors to become new VTubers.

For those who are unaware, ‘VTuber’ stands for Virtual YouTuber – a YouTuber who has a virtual 3D character that acts as an avatar. These avatars are generated by computer graphics and are voiced by real people, who then don an online persona to entertain people.

Kikuru is an agency that is established to recruit such VTubers for a variety of purposes and currently has Yua Fujisaki and the Shia Sisters under its employ. There are also a few other unvoiced characters and the audition’s purpose is to find a voice for each of them. You can check out the agency’s current roster of VTubers here.

According to the audition website, there are a few traits and qualities Kikuru is seeking from aspiring VTubers. Here are some of the requirements listed on their site:

• 長期的に活動が可能な方。

• パソコンでの配信環境が整っている方。

• YouTubeでの配信実績をお持ちの方。

• 週３回以上、配信ができる方。

• ご希望のイラストをヒヤリングさせて頂き、ご提案いたします。

• Able to stream 3 times a week
