TriEagles Studio has revealed the first picture of a new scale figure of Chun Li from Street Fighter. The name of the figure is the TES 1:4 Chun-Li and pre-orders will be open starting next week.
The figure is beautiful and very well sculpted showing Chun Lin in a stunning, fairly revealing, Mai Shiranui style dress posing alongside some traditional Chinese-inspired architecture. It is obviously a top-quality figure.
That being said, when the Chun Li figure was revealed on the TriEagles Facebook page, the comments, while mostly positive, jokingly reported that the figure lacked one area. The Legs.
Referred to as the strongest woman in the world, Chun Li is known for her lighting fast kicks and by association her well-defined thicc thighs.
Fans argue that the figure’s legs are two slim and that making them more muscular and toned would not only better suit the character but make the figure seem more lively.
“This is a beautiful piece no doubt, but its not Chun-li. I was gonna buy but decided not to. I prefer Chun-Li’s big and muscular thighs.”
“You should look Kotobukiya muscular tone to get an good idea what you should improve in this piece”
This may seem trivial however these are valid complaints. A big part of these high-end figures is to faithfully portray the character and Chun Li is supposed to be a strong and powerful woman so presenting her as muscular would better represent that.
With that being said the figure is still undoubtedly top quality when looking at the details and how well the colors pop.
We have no word on pricing but preorders will be available next week.
