2K and Gearbox Software’s New Tales from the Borderlands recently released an extended gameplay at Gearbox Showcase PAX West and with it comes a character trailer showcasing the three playable characters in the game.
The Extended Gameplay footage highlights several features to New Tales from the Borderlands, one of which is how the story would unfold differently depending on the decisions the players make throughout the game. Quick Time Events (QTEs) are also featured in the game and depending on how you do it, it could alter the story or even lead to an premature conclusion to the game.
One other thing that it highlights is the immersive visuals of the game. The visuals are made through performance capture and facial mapping technology, a first to the Borderlands series.
A character trailer is also shown after the extended gameplay and it dives into more on the characters the players will be controlling, Anu, Octavio and Fran.
Anu is the brain for the team and she hopes for a world of no violence. Octavio has a goal of owning a business and becoming rich and he is the intel guy with access to all sorts of information. Last but not least, Fran. She is all about the action and she is out for blood for the people that destroyed her shop.
New Tales from the Borderlands will be available worldwide on October 21,2022 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
