Uniqlo is launching an all-new Pokemon Meets Artists (UT) Collection on October 18th. The line includes Pokemon-themed t-shirts and sweatshirts. The designs are by New York-based Japanese artist Meguru Yamaguchi and British artist James Jarvis.
Meguru uses his signature brush strokes to show courageous Pokémon in battle. The meticulous work and colors result in highly refined fashion items. James Jarvis presents playful Pokémon with cartoon-style illustrations. The simple, distinctive treatments of both artists enhance the individuality of Pokémon.
Here’s a summary of the items that will be on sale:
- Adults’ T-Shirts: 5 Designs at RM59.90
- Adults’ Sweatshirts: 4 Designs at RM79.90
- Kid’s T-Shorts: 4 Designs at RM39.90
- Kid’s Sweatshirts: 4 Designs at RM59.90
Uniqlo has created Pokemon-themed cloths in the past as well as designs from many other franchises including Animal Crossing, Mario and Monster Hunter. And all for a fairly affordable price, it’ll be great to see them creating more designs from different series in the future. In my personal opinion, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure would suit their style well. These items should be available at any of your local Uniqlo retail outlets.
You can see the Pokemon UT Collection designs in more detail on Uniqlo’s special website.
You can find out about their recent Demon Slayer collection that is due to return this September.
