New Pokemon Snap is getting a free update, adding new locations and Pokemon to the wildlife photography game.
Announced via a new trailer, the free update for New Pokemon Snap will add three new stages, with day and nighttime variants to show off the 20 new Pokemon coming to the game when the update drops on August 4th.
The update will include Pokemon like the remaining two Johto starters Typhlosion and Feraligatr, as well as Pokemon like Swampert. We also get to see Gyarados in the trailer, recreating what looks like its appearance from the original Pokemon Snap as it bursts from a waterfall.
Of course, if large Pokemon don’t do it for you, the trailer also shows you’ll be able to shrink you vehicle, taking some gorgeous photos of smaller Pokemon like Emolga and Wurmple.
New Pokemon Snap is the follow-up to the cult classic Pokemon Snap, a game about photographing Pokemon in their wild habitat. The game released earlier this year exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, and treated fans of the original to an updated roster of Pokemon and improved visuals while maintaining the core gameplay of interacting with Pokemon to get especially great shots for your photo collection.
