A new teaser visual for “New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT” has been revealed at Anime Expo 2024 by Studio Trigger. They’ve also posted on X with a picture of a teaser visual as well as the main staff that will be working on the production of the anime. According to their official website, the anime will be aired in 2025.

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (PSG) was first made in Japan in 2010 and it became extremely popular worldwide. It was originally produced by Studio Gainax but Studio Trigger acquired the IP rights to the anime in 2023. If you aren’t sure if it’s your type of show, here’s why we think you should watch it.
Originally the teaser trailer was revealed at Anime Expo 2022 and needless to say that it took the world by surprise as there has not been a sequel in years. Hiroyuki Imaishi who previously directed the original series in Gainax went on to found Studio Trigger and will be returning to work on the new project.
PSG has a Western look to it despite being made in Japan. It has a total of 13 episodes that are about 30 minutes long.
The premise of the story goes like this:
The series follows two angel sisters, Panty and Stocking, who were kicked out of Heaven for bad behavior and, in order to return, must earn Heaven Coins by defeating Ghosts, evil spirits that plague Daten City.
As a reminder, New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT will be aired next year in 2025.
