After much deliberation, Bushiroad has (elbow)dropped the expected release date for New Japan Pro-Wrestling Strong Spirits, its upcoming wrestling game for the Android and iOS platforms. Not much information was disclosed however, besides the fact that it will developed by Drecom Co. In case you are not aware who these people are, they have worked on Digimon ReArise and Disgaea RPG. Interestingly enough, they acquired the rights to the Wizardry series, so we could expect something down the line.
Even so, Bushiroad put out two short CMs to build up hype for the game on the official New Japan Pro-Wrestling Strong Spirits website. The short skits in these videos feature Tetsuya Naito, a member in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling roster.
Future details will be posted on the official Twitter account, and it is worth noting that there are both an English and Japanese website for the game to suss out more information. Yes, it would appear that we will be getting a global release for this, which is a plus for the non-Japanese fans of the franchise.
In any case, expect to see the game out sometime in 2021, but for more details, be sure to drop by the aforementioned websites and follow their Twitter account.
