“Prototype unveiled for the first time! The prototype of the new Bridget figure from “GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-” has been revealed for the first time today! Stay tuned for more news”!
The statue is based on the key art of Bridget in Guilty Gear Strive. Unfortunately, Spiritale is yet to confirm more details about it including its’ pricing, release period, or scale size.
Bridget was first introduced in Guilty Gear X2 and has recently returned to the series as a DLC character for Strive. She is a bounty hunter who fights with a Yo-Yo and her robotic teddy bear Roger, both of which are included with the figure.
Bridget’s backstory involves being born into a British Village where it was believed that having same-sex twins were bad luck. As such, Bridget, who was born biologically male, was raised as a girl. Her story mode in X2 has her attempt to become a bounty hunter to prove herself masculine and debunk the village superstition.
Cut to her appearance in Strive and Bridget has successfully done both of these things. Unfortunately, she now finds herself without purpose and doesn’t truly identify as a man, instead coming out as a transgender woman after some encouragement from Goldlewis and Ky.
The game Guilty Gear Strive is available for PS4, PS5, PC, and soon Xbox Series X|S.
