As we have previously reported, the last we saw a Tokimeki Memorial game was in 2014, and fast forward three years into the future, we now have a new entry in the series, but not quite. Konami announced Tokimeki Idol, an idol communication game where you will help 15 students of a music institute to achieve their dreams. Check out this new trailer showing off its gameplay.
In Tokimeki Idol, you take on the role the producer for 15 idol candidates at the Princess Public Music Institute. Your job entails you doing just about everything you can to help them become idols and this requires building relationships with the girls. You will be able to choose from an assortment of outfits for the live performance with a variety of customisations to choose from. The live performance parts are done in the usual rhythm game fashion, but if you so choose, you can set it to automatic mode so you do not have to play it, but why would you?
The performance is then followed up by a communication event where you will be able to hang out with the girls. The trailer showcases a communication event where the player catches a certain Yuuki Akiha heading home. As you walk her home, you will be able to ask her a series of questions such as her interests and three sizes.
