SONY PICTURES has announced that the director of “Life of Pi” and “Brokeback Mountain”, Ang Lee, is going to direct a film about Chinese American martial arts legend Bruce Lee.
Bruce Lee was a Hong Kong and American martial artist and actor as well as being a director. He had a very lasting presence in Hollywood with films such as “Fist of Fury”, “Enter the Dragon” and “The Way of the Dragon” that popularized martial arts across the globe in late 1960s and early 70s.

This film is still untitled but is already in development at Sony’s 3000 Pictures with Mason Lee, Ang Lee’s son, starring for the film as Bruce Lee and Dan Futterman, writer for “Capote” and “Foxcatcher” in charge of adapting the script.
Mason Lee is a Taiwanese-American Actor who has recently starred in the Taiwanese romantic comedy “Stand By Me,” Hong Kong drama “Limbo” and “Who Killed Cock Robin.”
Lawrence Grey, Shannon Lee, Ang Lee, Ben Everard, and Brian Bell are on board as the producers for the film while Elizabeth Gabler and Marisa Paiva will be overseeing the project.
