To summarise, amongst the major announcements for the franchise include a new anime. This anime will be based on the Azur Lane: Queen’s Orders manga and marks the third anime for the franchise, after Azur Lane (2019) and Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!
Queen’s Orders is a slice-of-life manga focusing on HMS Queen Elizabeth and her close confidant, HMS Warspite. Currently, it is unknown which animation studio will be heading the project. It is also uncertain if Queen’s Orders will feature short 9-minute episodes like Slow Ahead! or full 24-minute episodes like the 2019 anime.
In addition, a new collab was also announced for the Azur Lane mobile game, featuring tokusatsu anime series SSSS. Gridman and its sequel, SSSS. Dynazenon. More details will be announced in the future.
Besides the new collab, it was also revealed that a new spin-off console game was also in the works. Compile Heart, the developer that made Azur Lane: Crosswave will reprise their role for the new game.
