During the past few weeks, rumors have been circulating about the internet saying that the next Assassin’s Creed title will be set in Ancient Greece and be called Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Ubisoft has just confirmed the rumors with a 5-seconds video, teasing an official announcement at the upcoming E3 2018.

The short video features a Spartan-looking soldier kicking an enemy off a cliff, which it is obviously a hat tip to the famous Spartan-themed novel and movie 300. The logo also features a Corinthian helmet, so we could safely assume that the game will be taking place in ancient Greece.
Also, some unconfirmed rumors stats that the new title will feature 2 playable characters in different gender with intersecting but different stories and skills. The legendary ship battles and brotherhood system may return in the new title too, while the main characters from the Origins – Bayek and Aya will play an important role in the story.
However, take it with a grain of salt as these are still rumors. We could expect to know more about the new title at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference on 11 June, so stay tuned!
