Netflix Malaysia has introduced new pricing for all its subscription tiers, with immediate effect. The streaming service has updated its pricing structure on its website, affecting both new subscribers and existing customers.
Under the revised rates, the Mobile plan has increased from RM17 to RM18.90, while maintaining its single-device streaming capability at 480p resolution. The Basic plan, which offers 720p streaming on one device, now costs RM29.90, up from its previous price of RM28.
For users preferring higher quality streaming, the Standard plan has been adjusted to RM49.90 from RM45, continuing to offer 1080p resolution streaming on two devices simultaneously. The Premium tier sees the largest increase, jumping from RM55 to RM62.90, while retaining its 4K streaming quality and four-device access.
The streaming giant has maintained all existing features and benefits within each subscription tier, with no changes to streaming quality, number of supported devices, or content accessibility. The price adjustment may also impact customers who access Netflix Malaysia through bundled services offered by Astro and Unifi TV, as these providers typically align their pricing with Netflix’s direct subscription rates. Responses from these service providers regarding potential pricing adjustments are pending.
Subscribers are advised to review their current subscription plans and assess which tier best suits their viewing needs and budget under the new pricing structure. The platform remains committed to delivering high-quality streaming entertainment to its Malaysian audience despite the price adjustments.
