Godzilla will make its anime appearance in Godzilla Singular Point, appearing on Japanese TV on 1st April and on Netflix on 25th March.
TOHO Animation’s YouTube channel uploaded a new trailer for the anime earlier today. You can watch the trailer here:
This trailer features its opening theme, “in case…” performed by Japanese idol group BiSH. Its ending theme, “Aoi”, which was sung by rock band Polkadot Stingray, featured in the previous trailer.
Besides the titular King of Monsters, Jet Jaguar also appears in both trailers. As one of Godzilla’s allies in the franchise, it will be interesting to see how the giant robot will fit within the story of Singular Point.
Here is a short synopsis of the anime:
This series features an original story, which depicts the young geniuses Mei Kamino, a female researcher, and Yun Arikawa, a male engineer, as they take on an unprecedented threat with their companions. When danger comes up from the depths, only young geniuses Mei, Yun, and their team can face the threat in Godzilla Singular Point!
Interestingly enough, 25th March, the release date of the anime on Netflix is also the release date of Godzilla vs. Kong in many countries.
