Square Enix has announced a demo for NEO The World Ends With You, the upcoming sequel to the classic Nintendo DS game.
According to a tweet, the NEO The World Ends With You demo will go live June 24th on PS4. It looks like the demo will be coming to both Nintendo Switch and PS4, and progress made during the demo will carry over into the final version of the game when it releases July 27th.
Square Enix has also said that the game will be coming to PC via the Epic Games Store “Summer 2021”, but has declined to specify a date for it.
The announcements were made via a Final Trailer for the game, which includes some heavy-looking plot details including the previously-teased return of one character, as well as what appears to be the destruction of Shibuya.
The trailer also shows more of the game’s non-combat gameplay, such as having to suggest thoughts to NPCs, a carryover of the original’s Meme system.
We also get our first look at NEO The World Ends With You’s Social Link system, where you’ll have to build your bonds with the many NPCs in the game to gain new abilities and strengthen your party.
