Some gameplay for the mobile version of Need for Speed appears to have been leaked, and shared via Reddit.
It has a lot of watermarks plastered all over the screen which would indicate the source is breaking some kind of non-disclosure agreement, but here it is in the wild anyway. This gameplay clip for the Need for Speed mobile game is 46 seconds long, and shows off the vehicle zooming across a variety of locations, including a relatively open highway, some city at night, the relatively expected things.
As with most mobile games, there is a virtual joystick on the left and the action buttons on the right for the accelerator, brake, turbo and a dedicated “drift” button. For all intents and purposes, it looks like a complete copy of the console titles.
From our last coverage of the game, the title is apparently going to be open world, so it won’t be self-contained tracks in instances. How exactly the online would work, its capacity or even when it would be released, remains to be seen. At the very least, fans of the series might be able to look forward to this release with cautious optimism in that it is faithful to the franchise they know and love.
