2K has announced the release date and cover athletes for NBA 2K25. The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam on September 6, 2024.
Jayson Tatum, the five-time NBA All-Star and reigning NBA Champion from the Boston Celtics, will be the cover athlete for the NBA 2K25 Standard Edition. Additionally, Tatum will share the spotlight with A’ja Wilson, the back-to-back WNBA Champion, two-time WNBA MVP, and six-time WNBA All-Star from the Las Vegas Aces, as dual cover athletes for the NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition.

Wilson will also be featured on the cover of the NBA® 2K25 WNBA Edition, which is a GameStop Exclusive Physical Edition available in the US and Canada.

Vince Carter, the 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, eight-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA Team member, and NBA dunk contest legend, will be the cover athlete for the NBA 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition.

In NBA 2K25, players can build a dynasty in MyCAREER, compete in new MyTEAM modes, and, for those on New-Gen platforms, experience an additional sixth era in MyNBA, a more interactive and compact City, and the opportunity to solidify their G.O.A.T. status in The W. Current-Gen players will enjoy updates in MyCAREER and MyTEAM, along with a new Neighborhood metropolis to explore, where they can complete quests, earn rewards, and outshine their rivals.
The New-Gen version of NBA 2K25 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and now on PC. Powered by advanced ProPLAY technology, New-Gen NBA 2K25 offers the most realistic basketball experience in the franchise’s history, giving players ultimate control over their gameplay. PC players with compatible specifications will also benefit from ProPLAY technology, allowing them to compete in modes such as MyNBA, The W, and The City. Crossplay is exclusive to New-Gen consoles.
