National esports League (Liga Sukan Elektronik Kebangsaan) will be starting from the year 2020 in Malaysia! YES! The announcement was made by Syed Saddiq, the Minister of Youth and Sports during a session in the House of Representative of Parliament.
Within the National esports League will be a ranking system to track players’ performances and serve as a criterion for esports athletes to represent the country to competitions such as South East Asian Games.
There are also a few plans that are being worked on to increase the standard for esports especially in Malaysia. Plans for it include esports training centers throughout the country and such. The Minister also mentioned that Johor Sports Council will be included for esports with Sukan Malaysia 2020 (SUKMA 2020).
With all these plans, there was no confirmation for any game titles that will be in upcoming events. Which will you be pleased to see? Personally I would want things like Street Fighter V, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Rainbow 6 Siege and Dota 2.

Other than the esports teams, I also wish that casters and hosts will be trained as well! We have ESL casters like HusKKiee, who have a lot more potential to grow! Faisal Ariffin/ Spiderjal is another host who has been in the scene since the EGG days!

Malaysia has been quite a hot spot for the a lot of events like KL Major for Dota 2, SEA Major X FV Cup for a lot of fighting games. So, what is your thought on this?
