After having been delayed from its original November 2021 launch, Asobimo has announced a new release date for their upcoming mobile game, N-INNOCENCE. According to the official Twitter, the release date for N-INNOCENCE (in Japan anyway) will be 20 April 2022, should there be no further delays.
The usual giveaway campaigns for gift cards to Japanese residents are available as usual. This time, the official Twitter is also doing social events where fans can try and guess the voice actor and who they expect the character will be like.
Going by the official notice, the delay was meant to be in service of improving the basic functionality of the game as well as add content, which they have now completed. You should be able to expect more promotional videos and related campaigns as is typically the case in the lead up to launch.
What we know so far about the game is that its story is said to revolve around the themes of mythology, while giving them a science fiction flavour. Norse, Japanese and Greek mythology are said to be featuring in the first three chapters of the game respectively, presumably with more to come. Gameplay wise, it is meant to invoke a visual style similar to a 2D fighting game, with extremely intuitive controls; tap repeatedly for combos, hold for special attacks, and the like.
