myBurgerLab has spoken out about an ongoing issue with how their HoyoFest collaboration cafe would be selling merchandise, saying they would be speaking to miHoYo about a better merch distribution schedule.
“On behalf of the myBurgerLab team, we apologise for the less than ideal purchasing arrangements for the merchandise”, they said via a statement posted to their Facebook page. “As per writing, we’re already speaking to the miHoYo Team for a more reasonable set up for the event”.
The problems started when myBurgerLab announced that rather than selling all the merchandise for their HoyoFest cafes at once, each piece of merchandise would only be available on certain days.
For example, the Seele scale figure, arguably one of the big highlights of the Honkai Impact cafe, would only be available on the first day of the event, meaning that you had to get that booking if you wanted a shot at the figure.
This obviously ruffled some feathers, seeing as how the demand for the myBurgerLab HoyoFest collab cafe was high enough that people believed it might have been sold out within 30 minutes of booking.
There’s been no updates on the status of the negotiations, but with the Honkai Impact cafe starting this week it’s unclear how much of the merch distribution they can change.
UPDATED 5 NOVEMBER 2021, 11:18AM: All merchandise will be available, but at super limited quantities, as announced here.
