My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble is an upcoming battle royale game from Bandai Namco Entertainment for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via Steam. While Bandai Namco Entertainment has not made an official announcement for the game, Twitter user @Atsushi101X uploaded magazine scans of the game, as seen below:
According to the text on the scans, the game features Battle Royale combat with up to 24 players in a match. It will also be free to play. While there is no specific release date for the game, a closed beta test for it is on the way, with recruitment currently open.
Beyond that, the scans do not reveal much information about the game, besides the fact that it is a battle royale game based on My Hero Academia. How exactly the game will implement characters’ quirks into its gameplay remains to be seen.
Currently, the game appears to be Japan-exclusive. However, it’s worth noting that six months ago, Bandai Namco trademarked “My Hero Ultra Rumble” alongside “My Hero Ultra Impact”. My Hero Ultra Impact is the global version of the mobile gacha game, My Hero Academia: Ultra Impact. If naming conventions are to be believed, chances are high that My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble will be released outside of Japan as My Hero Ultra Rumble.
