Today marks the end of the My Hero Academia Manga as Deku’s tale has drawn to a close in the decade-long journey for the series. The manga has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2014.
It was announced before that the My Hero Academia manga would end in the next 5 chapters. To celebrate the manga coming to an end, the official Youtube channel of Shonen Jump has released a commemorative video. Check it out below.
Spoilers Ahead
In the final chapter of My Hero Academia, Deku returns to U.A. High School after healing from his injuries and manages to graduate, despite having lost One For All and becoming quirkless again following his battle with Shigaraki. The story then jumps forward eight years, showing Deku as a teacher at U.A., while his former classmates have become renowned heroes.
Author Kohei Horikoshi has expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the support and dedication of the readers over the years. Alongside the manga’s finale, a new film titled “My Hero Academia: You’re Next” has just released in Japan on August 2, 2024. Check out the trailer below for the movie.
